Programme: The Scottish Traditional Boat Festival is held over this weekend and Rally field is within walking distance. This is the 31st anniversary of the event and a flotilla of heritage boats from across the country, will drop anchor in the historic harbour of Portsoy for a weekend of celebrations. Upholding the north east’s maritime heritage, there will be a packed programme of entertainment including music and dance, the finest Scottish food and drink, and demonstrations of age-old crafts, unique handmade items and gifts. The festival will begin with the Big Gig on the Back Green on Friday 21st June 2024. More information available on Boat Festival website and social media channels. Saturday 8am Lonach March begins from village. 10.30am Highland Games begin. 5.30pm DIY BBQ followed by Fun & Games (Weather permitting). 7.30pm A Lonach Family Ceilidh is held in Village - tickets £10.00 each and must be booked minimum 4 weeks before the Rally. https://www.lonach.org/ Sunday. 10.30am Tea/Coffee Competition results. 18.00 Lonach Pipers leave village to march to Church followed by Church Service. Monday - Outfits depart by 2pm.
