AGM 2025
Outgoing chair Jean Gilmour opened the meeting and welcomed guests David Turner Club Chairman and Director General Nick Lomas.
The annual general meeting of the Scottish Division of the Caravan and Motorhome Club was held on Saturday11th October in the Green Hotel, Kinross. Attending the meeting were 24 full members, 17 joint members and 8 visitors. Scroll down for photos and presentations.

Centre Chairs reported on their centre activities and membership. Nick Lomas, Director General, speaking on behalf of the club spoke of the difficult circumstances many in the industry find themselves in but was able to report that the club had enjoyed 60,000 new member households and an 8% rise in site bookings. He reported that Scotland remained a popular destination and the club had also enjoyed an increase in camping abroad in both group tours and site bookings.
Nick spoke of the visitor levy introduced in Scotland which will see 5% added to costs including CLs and rallies. The 1st council to adopt the levy is Edinburgh. It is expected that Glasgow City Council will be next with other councils likely to follow. He reported that the club is looking to secure an excemption.
Scottish Division Chair
Our Division Chair will be a point of contact for constituent Centre issues; will represent the Division at Club Council meetings and will chair Division Team meetings and the Division
AGM.
The chair has the casting vote on deadlocked issues being discussed by the Division Team.
The chair will present a report at the Division’s AGM (this report will be created with all of the team
members' input) and is a co-signatory on the Division’s bank account.
Scottish Division Vice-Chair
Our Division Deputy Chair will be a point of contact for constituent Centre issues; assist the Chair and help with succession planning for the Division.
The deputy will chair Division meetings and the Division AGM in the absence of the Chair, and coordinate a rally/events programme for the Division’s constituent Centres, including
collating rally/events data.
Scottish Division Administrator
Our Division Administrator is our point of contact for Local Centre issues.
The Division Administrator will oversee the administration of running the Division Team, which can include dealing with correspondence by email.
The adminsitrator will arrange Division meetings, whether in-person or virtual/online; produce the agenda for the Team’s meetings and write the relevant meeting notes and produce them in a
timely manner. The administrator is also a co-signatory on the Division’s bank account.
Margaret will be assissted by Linda Williamson.
Scottish Division Treasurer
Our Division Treasurer is a point of contact for local Centre issues, maintains and manages the Division’s bank account and monitors income and expenditure.
The treasurer will be able to advise the Division Team on the finances, and set budgets for events, where
necessary.
The treasurer creates a report for the Division’s AGM, shares and looks at opportunities for best practices with other divisions and maintains an inventory of assets for the Division.
The treasurer is a co-signatory on the Division’s bank account.
Scottish Division Digital Champion
Our Digital Champion is a point of contact for Local Centre issues.
The Digital Champion will maintain the Division’s website with updates and promote/market local events, assist the Division Deputy Chair in coordinating a rally/events programme for constituent Centres, is responsible for maintaining the Division’s Social media pages.
The Digital Championwill promote the activities and events of Local Centres, liaising with them to get the
information and will offer and monitor a promotional hub for photographic images/ templates/ videos and branding, which includes guidance.
Jean Gilmour
Jean retired from her role as Scottish Division Chair this year. Jean was presented with a plaque in recognition of her work on behalf of the club. Linda Williamson, wife of the new chair, also presented Jean with a beautiful set of glasses.
The Division wish Jean all the best in her next projects and were delighted to receive a gift to the division of a flask which will be a great help at our events.
