2015 AGM

 70^th Annual General Meeting

The 70^th Annual General Meeting of The Scottish Caravan Club was held on Saturday 10^th October 2015, at The Dewar's Business, Events and Sports Centre, Perth.

Hamish Stuart, Chairman, opened the meeting at 2.00pm welcoming all attending.

The Chairman then gave a special welcome to The Caravan Club Chairman, Grenville Chamberlain who acted as interim Chairman, Brian Savage the Club's Director of Membership Services, Malcolm Groves Executive Committee and Alex Davidson Nominated Member.

The President, Ian Bennett also welcomed everyone, reminding all that this was their AGM and their chance to voice their opinions on matters regarding their club

David Smith was installed as the new Chairman of The Scottish Division for 2015 – 2016 along with, President - Ian Bennett, Vice Presidents - Hamish Stuart and Jean Gilmour. As there were two Nominations for Vice Chairman a vote was held, with Fraser Todd being duly elected. Secretary - Kenny Robertson, Treasurer - Graeme McKenzie, Editor - Alistair Fisher and PRO - Fred Sewell.

David presented a Past Chairman’s Badge and Plaque to Hamish Stuart, retiral plaques were presented to Bruce Fenton and William Eames. Hamish Stuart then presented a Silver Tray to the Scottish Division

The A.G.M. was attended by 118 Members.

This year’s entries for The Alba Shield Photographic Competition were judged by Grenville Chamberlain, Caravan Club Chairman and Brian Savage Director of Membership Services. The winner was Neil Valentine a member of The East of Scotland Centre.

A total of 47 units attended a caravan rally, at Noah's Ark Caravan Park, Perth, held in conjunction with the A.G.M.

There was also a good turnout for the Saturday evening social which was held at a new venue, with a meal being served followed by dancing to Night Talk which was enjoyed by all who attended.

The Rally Team were Bruce & Sandra Fenton, Tommy & Jean Gilmour and Fraser and Louise Todd who would like to thank all who attended, making it a great success.
